REPRINT - MEMORIAL DAY
This is a reprint from last year, but honestly, we think it is worth a repeat.
I for one, am a little tired of people looking forward to Memorial Day for the pool side beer and the hot dogs, sunshine and bad music. Just in casual conversation, seems like everyone is more than happy to have the day off work, to enjoy the much needed rest, said beer and hotdog. But hardly anyone even knows the difference between Memorial Day and Veterens Day anymore.
Now I might be preaching to the choir, as we think our customers are a pretty patriotic bunch, but I just want to say that around here, we know why tomorrow is an rare day off. It's about those men and women that fought and died for our freedom.
Celebrating it really has nothing to do with hotdogs or pools. Now don't get me wrong, those things are nice, but I would like for once to hear back from the question, "What are you doing for the holiday," the right answer. "Well, I'm going to remember those that died for our freedom, then maybe have a hotdog."
