We have exciting news to announce!  We have obtained permission from a great designer, Tomas Hellberg, to kit up some of his designs. Now you might be asking yourself, "How many different kinds of planes do you want to kit 6mmFlyRC?"  Fair question.  But here is a little background.

Right now we offer a bunch of popular designs.  The F-14 Tomcat, the F-15 Eagle, the T-38, F-5, F-22, Su-37, X-31, Super Bandits, F-18's, Skyrays, and more...(catch breath).  And you probably know we have some more in the works.  Like the Eurofigher.  These kits are pretty darn scale.  What we mean by that is at about 5 feet away, they look just like the real thing.  Builders love our kits because it takes the worst part of building out the equation, the cutting, the collecting of hardware, etc.  But make no mistake, our kits are for those pilots that like to put a little work into THEIR creation.  We are proud that each of our kits comes out looking different for each builder, because each builder does a little different thing with the finishing job.  We think that building is at the heart of the hobby, even if some say that "buy it and fly it" is the only future.  We won't lie, most our kits take about 8-12 hours of building to get in the air, and we think that is just about right, but what about those pilots out there that still want to build, but don't have a couple of days and nights? They want a jet, but have never built with foam?  We have your answer, or more correctly, Tomas Hellberg, has your answer.

Enter his quick build jets.  They feature what we would call semi-profile design, in that the fuse is totally boxed to get the gear hidden, but the majority of the plane is simply a scale profile plane.  His great designs feature tabbed construction for easy build times and great flying characteristics.  So we saw what he was doing and thought, "we should kit that sucker."  Before we knew it, he said yes. 

First up is his MIG-29, a great looking jet that will have you out and about in no time.  We are shooting for a real quick turn-around time on these kits, so keep your ear to the ground and we will make the announcement soon.   

This is another good time to remind everyone what makes us different than most RC companies.  First, even though we are a small outfit, we work hard to satisfy our customers.  All the time.  Secondly, we don't think for a minute that we have all the great ideas out there.  We know for a fact that the best RC designers in the world are often not employed by some RC company.  They do it for fun.   They like designing planes and flying them, failing and trying again.  We like to think of our company like a partnership with the weekend hobbyists out there, from our designs to our decals, everyday people with other jobs are the brains and soul of our operation.  We wouldn't have it any other way.
